Commercial Wastewater Treatment Facility
At Discovery Park Environmental Services, we provide reliable and environmentally responsible treatment solutions for a wide range of liquid waste streams through our on-site Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF).
Our advanced treatment plant supports businesses across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals and specialist manufacturing sectors, with capacity to process over XXX litres per day.
We accept approved tankered liquid wastes from external producers, alongside operational effluents generated on-site at Discovery Park. Every waste stream is individually assessed to ensure compatibility with our treatment process, environmental permit, and operational standards.
Accepted wastes are managed through secure holding systems before undergoing a multi-stage treatment process including:
- Activated sludge treatment
- Clarification
- Sand filtration
- UV disinfection
Treated effluent is safely discharged under strict environmental controls, with opportunities for water reuse within the facility where appropriate.
Our experienced team carefully manages waste acceptance and treatment operations to protect process performance, regulatory compliance, and the surrounding environment.
Our Process
A straightforward route from enquiry to treatment
We make the process simple, efficient, and fully compliant. Every waste stream is reviewed to ensure safe treatment, operational compatibility, and environmental protection.
Liquid waste enquiries
Initial review of liquid waste streams for potential treatment through the on-site Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Sample assessment
Review of representative samples, waste composition, COD/BOD loading, pH, metals, oils, fats, solvents and biological treatability risk.
Waste Acceptance Decision
Following review, the waste stream will be approved for treatment and a quotation provided, declined if unsuitable or placed on hold pending further information or testing.
On-site WWTF treatment
Controlled acceptance and treatment of suitable liquid waste streams using the Discovery Park on-site WWTF infrastructure.
Waste acceptance
We assess waste streams carefully before acceptance
We welcome compatible liquid waste streams from external producers and industrial operators. Every stream is assessed against our treatment capability, environmental permit, and operational standards to ensure safe and efficient processing.
Likely acceptable
Biodegradable aqueous wastes
Low-risk wash waters
Compatible process effluents
Tenant and third-party liquid waste streams
Waste streams supported by composition data
Sample-tested streams approved before delivery
Subject to detailed review
High COD or BOD loading
FOG, fatty acids or foaming risk
Hydrocarbons, solvents or inhibitory compounds
Metals or persistent toxic contaminants
Extreme pH or unusual odour
Any stream requiring permit or biological impact review
Operational control
All treatment and acceptance decisions are carefully managed to protect plant performance, biological stability and final effluent quality.
Responsible treatment solutions
We provide a reliable and environmentally responsible alternative to off-site disposal for liquid waste streams that are suitable for biological treatment.
Compliance-focused
Waste acceptance and treatment operations are managed in line with environmental permit requirements.
